Is Omesaudio sub OK for home theater

I need to make 12" sub for home theater
I can have driver Omesaudio 12.01AC
http://www.omnesaudio.de/ ->Omesaudio->HomeHiFi-> Subwoofer
Fs-34.4hz
Qts-0.42
Vas-44.8l
I have modelled sub volume in BassBox6 Vented box 42l, F3 - 35Hz , not bad I guess.
But with my not big experience I have doubt, is it OK for home theater application?
I guess Fs-34.4hz is bit high, and munufucture tells this subwoofer for car sub application too!!! I guess it is strange.

I appreshiate your advise.
If you recomend me other driver, it should be European driver, not USA I'm far avay from USA.

My room is about 40m2
I’m going to make subwoofer on OmnesAudio 12" driver.

http://www.omnesaudio.de/ -> OmnesAudio-> Home HiFi-> Subwoofer

But with my less experience have doubt is it suitable for my needs as home theater subwoofer.
Fs=34.4Hz
Qts=0.42
Vas=44.8l
I have put it to BassBox6 and got vented box Vb= 42l, F3=34Hz.
Is it OK for home theater? I guess Fs=34.4Hz is too high. And on site informed that this driver fo home and CAR use!! Strange for me !!

Your advise will be appreciated.
If your recommend other driver, please recommend Europe’s driver, not USA, I’m far away from USA.

Very nice looking driver!
fs looks a bit high and excursion could be more 12mm isn't that much these days
It's also quite pricey!

You should see if you can get drivers shipped from the US as this is often the best option even where you can get drivers locally. I think you will find you will get something better that way.

Is it suitable for HT?
Try simulating in WinISD with a vented box. Try an 85L box tuned to 20 Hz with a 10cm diameter vent and change it til you get something that looks decent.

Greets!

It will depend on how large a cab you can tolerate, how loud you want it to play, the XO point, and if you plan to use digital EQ to shape its in-room response.

For instance, using the published specs, an 80 Hz XO, and a minimal amount of stuffing/voltage drop, a corner loaded ~13" i.d. square 136" long TL with the driver down ~41" from the closed end should suffice, though I seriously doubt there will be enough room gain to allow movies like WOTW to be experienced at DD/DTS reference levels.

I'm not familiar with what drivers you have easy access/$$ for, but if this cab is too large and/or doesn't meet your performance goals, then you will need to look for a true sub driver that has a <20 Hz Fs and extreme Xmax. That, or use multiple drivers to reach the desired SPL. For instance, multiple Peerless XLS12 (830500).

I take back what I said about pricey, it's not that expensive. I'm not used to seeing prices in Euros!

I did a simulation.
You can get 106db @ 20 Hz with 350w input
Vented box 80L tuned to 20 Hz
Rumble filter needed to protect driver for HT but above 20 Hz xmax won't be exceeded.
Some care would be needed in flaring the vents to avoid turbulence.

I would say this is adequate in a small to medium sized room to go with most hifi speakers, as they will struggle to go past 100db

You could always add on a second sub and then you could exceed 110db.

You must admit, this driver has some style:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Thank you for your reply.
As I realized this driver is far away from the best.
So maybe it is better for me to find other.
Actually I wrote to some USA manufucture like
aurasound - got reply already, expensive driver!!
tcsounds
precision-devices - UK
ascendantaudio

So I look for good LOW driver. I hope it is right way.
