I found Philips CD130 (dac 1543) in mint condition, so I want to upgrade to non os mode.
Unfortunately, it is with Mitsubishi M50423FP signal processor.
In the PDF I found on page 17/18 described available mode.
Now it is set mode 5.
Do you think, it is possible to set mode 7 or 9.
Will this have effect on digital out - pin 4 DOTX
Sorry bother you with this strange processor.

Hi,
I read the datasheet of m50423fp.
For Fs or nos tda1543 MSB 1st.
Mode 7 is interpolation - For use with external digital filter.
That leaves mode 2 or 9. Fs bypass filter. Timing different.
Pin 4 DOTX = spdif.
You can hardwire to get what you want.Just follow the table 1.
1=Vcc or 0=Gnd. DASEL 1 - 4

Thank you singa,
I will try mode 9.
Anyone else has Close Encounters of the Third Kind
with this Mitsibushi processor ?

is it working?
I recently obtained a Philips 614 cd player with the same M50423FP ic. Have you managed to get non oversampled signal from the mitubitshi dsp? Which mode should i try?
Thnx

Would be keen to know as well, have a 614 also.
How does one change modes? Different pins to ground or Vs?

Hi schtef,
I haven't manage to set nos mode, yet.
I think, there are connections under chip on the board.
So the DASEL pins have to be desoldered, by air solder,
which i am looking for ....

(maybe attach thin wires to the legs for testing)

It's just my idea 🙂
