Is anyone familiar with the Unity Revolving Platform turntable?

Like the attached?

Made in Canada AFAIK. There was a tendency for the heavy platter to eat the bearing, other than that a good TT.

I gave the one i had to a friend and you can see what he did in the second attachment.

Old post, I know. I have one that I bought new from Audio Ark in Edmonton. I was told that it was designed by a guy that worked on the Canadarm. Mine has a Hadcock carbon fibre arm. I have never had a problem with the bearing and have only replace belts.

Good question. I've never seen one, and google just turns up others looking for info, with no replies. I'm assuming it's a standard style turntable bearing with a ball bearing (or radiused shaft) running on a thrust plate/pad of some unknown material.

Here's your opportunity to show the internet what the bearing configuration actually is.
