thank's, i measured and set the hot running amp to the same values as the cool running one but the inductor is still getting very hot. Too hot to the touch.
What value did you measure ?
Next thing is possible oscillation of the amp . Check if the inductor gets hot with shorted inputs ( both 1 and 2 input to GND . It seems that the amp has a balanced input ( 2 x in 1x GND)
If so you should short one of the inputs ( the unused input on picture in post 35) to GND if you use unbalanced in (RCA).
Cleaning up your wiring could help , keep your input wiring as far away as possible from the SMPS and power and output wires . Twist all wiring .
Good luck ,
Cheers ,
Rens
I measured between the pins of the little blue variable resistor pot and matched the values to the values I was getting with the "good" amp. I will try your suggestion to short one of the inputs to GND but I am starting to think that I must have destroyed the IRS2092 before I got the proper power supply. thank-s
final measurement between the 100R on the left of the blue pot and the central pin of the blue pot. same values on both amps but the hot one is still getting very hot. no idea if this is right but i guess if the values of both amps are identical it should be ok.
i tryed to short the second IN with GND but that didn't work.. (no sound)
will order another amp as they are only 15 $. there are many very small parts on this board which makes it kinda difficult to work with😱

Hi all, i'm new on the forum, and a newbie in the costruction of audio amp, i'm interested to make one with this board to use as a guitar power amp, i have purchased it yet.
The amp works with 4 and 8 ohm, but i sometimes find 16 ohm cabinets at the concerts, will the amp work aniway or i'll risk to destroy it?
Thank you and sorry for bad english.
Denis
