IRFP4242 equivalent for soundstream 15k

Hi, so I know this has been brought up before on here, but I can't seem to find a solid answer. Has anyone successfully used alternative output fets in a soundstream xxx-15000d (or similar) amp? They originally use irfp4242 fets but as most of you are aware those have been discontinued for a while.
Thank you.

Mouser gives the following as a sub. It looks like it's going to be a bit harder to drive. I did some parametric searches and all of the returned part numbers were very expensive.

If you use this, I'd suggest monitoring the temperature of the drivers driving these (if you use them) to the drivers driving the original FETs. If the drivers are running at a significantly higher temperature, you may need to look for another alternative.

Thank you perry. I appreciate the info.

The high side ran hot if I remember correctly. Those drivers always run hot.
This is an old photo. Ignore the circles. But that's the driver card. Besides the high side running hot did they seem to function properly? Did you make any other changes to the circuit to accommodate the new parts?
