I built several quasi nmos200 amps from this thread
Power amp under development
with these mosfets. Mouser still carries them, not obsoleted yet.
Works great, sounds great.

quasi complementary amps
More or less any quasi amp based on similar IRF240 should do, check out these:
Another quasi-complementary design - #37
Another quasi-complementary design - #104 high power version

This one seems to be specifically for IRGP260N :

That's all.

yeah EUVL is correct, it's a matter of earth shattering Crss 160 vs 130 piff, did we forgot anything else..
Sorry guys, I'm not a MOSFET guy. It's all new territory for me.
I'm willing to put in the effort if I find a good project. I appreciate all the responses so far, and will keep checking back 🙂 .
Thanks everyone!

As a follow up, is there a simple-ish way to test them for proper function, just to make sure they are OK?
That guide is remiss in not mentioning anti-static precautions necessary for handling any MOSFET. For instance never handle/touch the gate electrode before its connected in circuit, and always connect source first to the test circuit. Just the mains-pickup of the human body can blast holes in the gate oxide of a MOSFET, leading to degraded performance or non-function. Nylon carpets/furnishings and clothing are notorious for static too, avoid!
> nmos200 amp from Quasi was designed specifically for IRFP260, and I can confirm it works.
Yes, that looks good.

Yes, that looks good.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it very much!... remiss in not mentioning anti-static precautions necessary for handling any MOSFET...
Thank you, I will research it!... nmos200 amp from Quasi ...

Thanks 🙂
