IRF540 V IRF540n

In simulation the IRF540n looks better - faster, lower distortion

Does anyone have any first hand experience if the 540n sounds any better ?

I have been comparing these devices for a class-b amp. It looks as though the newer 'N' designation type is even more suited to switching than the original. The SOA of the 'N' is absolutely pathetic, the original is better.

I am having trouble getting hold of the original now though, the 'N' seems to be replacing it.
