Hello somebody can help me? I've to change some IRF540 , and I've a lot of IRF3710, can I use the last without problems? I don't know if IRF3710 are good for audio power amplifier......
it really depends of type of amplifier , but - at quick look on data ( even if I don't have data for 7310 dynamic capacitance ) I can't see why not ...
You mean the imput capacitance? The IRF3710 input capacitance it's bigger than IRF540 (3130 vs. 1700)...
if driver stage is capable to drive it .... why not ;
anyway - without schematic of amplifier , nobody can't tell you how big difference will be

The amp it's an arcam alpha 5, on the final stage the mosfets are died and I've to change them all.
Arcam says that "substitutes" are IRF540 or IRF 640, but I have many Irf3710 and to me (if I'm not blind) the irf 3710 looks more similar to first ones than 640 types......

in that case - just go for it , and let your ears decide ;
after all - that's not nuclear physics 😉
