IRFP140N
I am using those in my Class A amp.
Running 2 per channel ... one as CCS other as follower.
from a +12 -12v battery supply... at 3.2A bias.
Sounds good to me.
NO SS artifacts. very neutral top to bottom.
love it.

I'm using those too (IRFP140) in my Aleph 5 and they sound beatiful. But I have a lot of TO3 IRF230 ready to use as well.😉
what was the pricetag (Peter Daniel) on the IRFP140(N?)??
The reason is that i was talking to a distributor about IRFP140N and IRF3205( Check this one out!!! gfs = 44S and .75degress/W)
And they gave me a unit price of 1.7$

Considering the Gate capacitance and Gfs, IRFP260 or IRFP264 should be a very good choice. What's more, due to its high Pd of 280 watts, you could run it of a slightly higher voltage, squeezing out more power, while the entire sound spectrum should be very balanced.
A second choice would be the IRFP460 - would be more solid in the bass region.

Thanks... I was just checking up on the price to see if it was okay!
