iPad: no text formatting options

For some time now the text formatting options are greyed out when I’m on my iPad. App is Safari, content blocking is off and Safari asks for desktop website. Strange enough on iPhone everything’s fine. The iPad is recent and updated. Anyone else having trouble with this? Or any ideas how to fix this?

I have similar issues on my Android phone. It seems to be connected to what browser you're using.

Curious if spoofing the browser id would change it?

That solved the mystery, thanks a lot! Was typing formatting code some time already….

I use it that way all the time because i value the finer control (and it helps with mod related editing). I don’t believe the toolbar should be greyed out, that’s an unfortunate side to it.
