I havent found any further mention of the proposed IGC / NIGC comparison.

Has it happend? If so, what was the outcome ?

He went quiet; I don't see why TLC is simplist other then the fact that he uses one.

FWIW, I just came across this explanation why inverted is supposed to be better than non-inverted - sounds convincing to me:

"The Inverting Amplifier <is> the preferred configuration for an OP Amp amplifier. ..... The advantage of this configuration lies in the that the signal enters the amplifier at a zero voltage, zero impedance point, the conjuncture of the two resistors and the inverting input. This means that unlike the Non-Inverting amplifier configuration which accepts the full voltage swing of the input signal, which can cause non-linear effects because of the moving of the input bias voltages and compressing of voltage headroom as the signal swings from one extreme to the other, the Non-Inverting amplifier inputs are comfortably at the same power supply midpoint." http://www.glass-ware.com/audiogadgets/Audio_Gadgets_IC_Circuits_Detail.html

Well, I still intend to do this, when I have time.

I actually KNOW the answer to the question already (Pseudo-balanced is slightly ahead of inverted, non-inverted notably behind), but I had actually modest interrest to actually illustrate this publically.

However, in order to keep an absolutely level playing field you MUST have a floating balanced input and in effect a pseudo-balanced input where you merely switch the relevant input to ground.

As this caused already a major stir with any mumber of people compalining about the methode and wanting to change it, what's the point and more to the point, why don't they go and do their own comparisons with their own approaches.
