I would like to introduce AST Conductors, a new company in the market, but with
a history of several years of advanced R&D. We have been passionate
audiophiles and DIYers forever and we also happen to include in our team accomplished
metallurgists with connections to the research community.
For several years we were discussing ways to develop the best possible silver
conductor, as there were products in the market which indicated that there is some
upside there,
Having rewired several amps and other equipment (both DIY or not) we knew very well
the importance of the hookup wire quality and, of course, the material used in cables.
So we embarked on this R&D journey and invested in some pretty high-tech equipment
for the production of silver wires.
We managed to achieve a purity of 6N+ measured by a very specialised independent lab in
France.
The sonic results were very positive from the beginning and, as we were improving our
processes and lab results, they were becoming really impressive.
Ultrapure silver, when correctly processed, sounds extremely detailed and balanced,
very harmonically rich and smooth sounding. Maybe its most important characteristic
is its naturalness. It does not have any of the typical silver \glare' and aggressiveness.
Even a short piece makes a clear difference in a system's sound quality.
We are getting excellent feedback from our customers, which include DIYers and
audio manufacturers.
Having sent some samples around we were pleasantly surprised to have our first
Youtube review by channel iiWi.
You can see it here:
And you can read more at www.astconductors.com
SInce the start of this year our products are for sale and we are preparing a proper
webshop. Currently we receive our orders by email.
So, we are very happy to present ourselves to the community here (which in the past has included
members of our team) and answer any questions or enquiries.

I would think you would have more success with a list of items offered and prices for those items on your website.
AST uses 6N+ ultrapure silver to produce audio conductors, bare and enameled.
This purity is being periodically tested by a very qualified lab, as mentioned in our introductory message.
We produce a line of bare round conductors made with 6N+ silver which is being already received very
enthusiastically by a good number DIYErs as well as audio manufacturers.
Our standard diameters, which we usually have in stock, with their retail prices are:
0.35mm @ 13.5 Eu/m
0.55mm @ 25 EU/m
0.75mm @ 41.5 Eu/m
0.95mm @ 58.5 Eu/m
1.15mm @ 85 Eu/m
Our 0.95mm dia. wire is the most harmonically rich and has the strongest
body in the sound. It is our flagship conductor for interconnects . A twisted pair with this
wire outperforms even cables costing several thousand Euros.
Our 0.75mm dia. wire offers a performance very close to the 0.95. It is a bit more focused
trading a bit of the harmonically rich sound of the 0.95. Some listeners who prioritize accuracy
actually prefer this conductor.
The 0.55mm is extremely precise and very dynamic. This is the wire that
was reviewed by iiWi. This cable is the favorite of recording studios we have worked with.
The 0.35mm is really good for low voltage signals and still performs very
well as an interconnect, demonstrating the unique character of ultrapure silver.
Of course our bare conductors can be used to build cables and wire (or rewire) equipment,
and they truly elevate the level of sound reproduction to new levels, compared with other silver
wires. they actually do not sound like silver. There is no glare or top end harshness, the detail
and micro dynamics are surprisingly good as is the general balance and the macro dynamics.
Of course these are all words and we hope to have our products reviewed and tested by different
people in the future.
We also produce enameled wire in various diameters and specs.
Our products are of course not cheap, but the technology and the process to reach this purity with
consistency are much more costly than producing 4N silver.
The most important for us, as long time lovers and searchers of hifi, is that the sound becomes organically better
and music more palpable. As DIYers we have also experienced that even a short run, like the rewiring of input wires,
makes a clear difference for the better.

Thanks for that. I would not expect your products to be cheap but they are far from outlandish.
Do you stock enameled wire in 0.35mm? If not, what kind of minimum would be required?
I want to try some of your wire!

Hello Rick,
We have produced 0.35mm enameled and we may have some in stock. Otherwise we have production
campaigns every 2 months or so and can include it. We are a new company and we try to be as flexible as possible with minimums etc.
I'll send you a personal message.
