Hello 🙂
Hope you are doing well.
What a cool idea for a community! Surprised it's taken me til now to find it.
I'm a Brit recently turned full-fledged Canadian. Interests are visual effects (my career for the longest time), coding (more recent career choice), playing music (to keep me sane).
Best wishes,
J

From Surrey to Vancouver, a warm welcome to you Jeff.
You too Jeff.
You too Jeff.
Thank you kindly! Much appreciated.
There are uncanny coincidences already. Vancouver (or adjacent), another Jeff, and one my first songs that I put on Spotify is called "Weldon". ha!

Anyway to listen to it without Spotify?
I just love when people write songs for me. I am very touched.
Actually, I am a bot and so is Jeff. We saw you coming and...

Haha (laughing after momentary paranoia).
I wrote it to help me relax when I was living a rather hectic life in Los Angeles. That percusive click-clack sound that occurs at 51 sec and repeats throughout was my frontdoor latch. I used to really like the sound of it.

Hey Dave, thanks 🙂. I was born in Devon, not too far from Aphex Twin's beloved Cornwall. I grew up south east of London.
Well, I am honoured. To think someone I don't know, wrote a song for me, then moved to my town, joined diyAudio and shared that tune.
What are the chances of that?
I love innovation and using the door latch was good. Hoodathunk if you didn't tell us? Once you listen, it's obvious, very clever.
Thanks for sharing.

@YashN hahah very good sir 🙂
@Cal Weldon heh thanks! It was a surprisingly pleasing sound in person so I captured it on an edirol r09 - which I haven’t thought about in years until this conversation. And I now I wonder where it even is haha
