Hey All.....

Long time Audio nut here discovering this T-Amp revolution !!! Very Exciting!!!

I'm a Photographer/Video Studio in San Francisco and after discovering T-Amps I want to put together some portable Audio solutions for Video playback on location among a few other T-Amp projects.

A little background..... Yes, I'm that old..... Back in the day I had a Linn Sondek turntable matched with Mark Levinson Electronics driving Apogee Speakers....I've had a lot of gear and still do.....

I got out of it for many years cause the whole anti digital thing..... Well, I'm back embracing digital and rediscovering my love for Audio as it overlaps greatly with my Video Business.

So here is my current questions..... Just hoping you guys can fast track me and apologize if these questions have been covered a million times already.

I read some of the BoomBox threads as they seem to be most appropriate to my current project.

I bought a Fiio A1 because it seemed to have good reviews and it was 12volts. This is a wonderful little device and is perfect for my Stage1 application driving a pair of 5.25" Polk R15 Speakers on a 10amp SLA battery.

My Stage2 Application would involve bigger speakers..... think 6.5"-8".....the little Fiio comes up a little short on "Nuts" the Bass suffers a bit. (using my NAD 3020 as reference)

I'm thinking I need an amp in the 40-50 watt range to do this. All the amps I see in this range seem to be 18-24 volts ????? I guess I could work with the 24 volts, but that means two batteries. I'm hoping there is a 12 volt solution out there that dosn't involve scratch building.

Thanks in advance !!!
