I listen to these guys, but I really can't take 40s big band. That and banjo. If there is banjo - I'm out!
I'm from MN but in '85 I worked in the valley and tuned in KFJC. Still listen to them.Try www.kfjc.org and let me know what you think. We have both terrestrial and an internet stream. We also archive shows for 2 weeks after show date.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned SOMAFM. They have a ton of channels, all commercial free, mostly odd stuff. They are based in SF, CA. My favorite is Boot Liquor - off kilter C/W. Really a great channel. This year I think they had four Christmas channels. The main channel is 'Groove Salad', which is a great background sound for work or reading or whatever - no lyrics. https://somafm.com/

But you don't have to listen to everything, they publish the day's programming content in advance, so you can choose when to log on and off.
For streaming FIP, try https://stream.radiofrance.fr/fip/fip.m3u8?id=radiofranceFIP - originally France Inter Paris
See
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIP_(radio_station) for a description
Eclectic, commercial free, news in French at the top of the hour. Typically there is a theme to the music selection, but you will hear music both familiar and new - some of which is not played on commercial stations. The web app is OK, but best experienced from a streaming source connected to the FIP url - will verify and post the current url separately.

I spent many a fine hour listening to R-P at work. I used to send them money. Does Bill still play a lot of Chris Isaak? 🙂Radio Paradise. My new home for internet radio.

Listening now. Send them a few dollars every quarter. I hear him now and again can’t say if I notice how often. I love how it reminds me of the “underground “ FM stations

I think this is really great internet radio. Your own niche is Goodwrench?
Goodwrench is me.... I do a techno show on Friday nights and host a jazz show once monthly.
