Ok guys, I just got my LCD monitor (Samsung 150N). It was ultra cheap and works great. However it has an internal power supply adapter. I did not atempt to open it but Im going to as soon as i get some spare time.. My question is: Has anyone stripped an LCD monitor with internal power adapter?..and got it to work with an overhead-projector?

Thanks

Works Excellent...i opened it fairly easy. Iwas suprised how organized the interior is. Its very easy to work with. Here is a pic.

It was really cheap. The seller said it is brand new from factory. It smells like new but I believe its refurbished. I sniped it at ebay for US $114 + lol $40 for shipping. I got it coz of the good price/ performance; it was not in the list of "usable lcd monitors" at toms hardware.... I took the risk....and it turned out good 😀

The cables seem very robust but I dont feel like taking any more chances... so im gona build a permanent enclosure 😉

Hi Monsta
I just found this thread while searching google. I'm about to take a SyncMaster 150N apart as well. Anything I should watch out for on this model? also were you able to successfully mount it on an OHP or was the internal power supply in the way? Thx
Mike

Hey, good to see people using samsung 150N 🙂 . Its really really easy to take the lcd apart once u open monitors plastic shell. i have spent most of the time opening the monitors plastic shell; it has no screws and i had to poke arround with my kitchen knife (my only tool) to find the quick release.

Unfortionately i did not have time to buid permanent enclosure for my projector so im using it (cheap and ugly - toms-hardware style) As you can see the cable that is connecting lcd with power supply is very strong/bendy and more than long enough and i was able to secure the power supply on the back (which looks prety nice). Im definitely going to build a permanent enclosure in near future.

Hope it helps

Monsta
