I've had my amp for about 6 months and in the last week it has blown 3 internal power fuses. It has a T1.0A 250v fuse. The only components in the circuit before the fuse are the power switch and a capacitor. It usually blows when the amp gets turned on.
Will puting in a fuse with a higher amperage solve the problem or burn my house down?

Little of column A, little of column B...
It is important to look on the back of the amp to see what fuse is required, I suspect the 1 amp fuse is a tad small especially when you consider inrush current at turn on. If the amp requires only a 1 amp fuse I would start by checking the capacitors in the power supply circuit, you may find 1 or more have become leaky causing the blown fuse at turn on.
1amp fuse does seem a little small, what is the output of the amplifier?

I think it's about 25w per chanel I bought it Ebay so I don't know the exact output. The fuse is correct as it matches whats printed on the circuit board.
Do you think changeing it to a slo-blo would work?

Slow Blow
Hi Joel,
I bettcha the original fuse was a time delay type, or slow blow. This is a very common problem. As Frazzled suggested, check the back panel or the area around the fuse holder for the correct value.
