Headphones work/sound great! Not the mic.

Measured 1.78K ohms across the mic.

BP-1 provides .49VDC, .39V w/mic connected. Is voltage high enough?

Thnx in advance. Tony.

Hi Tony
You just need to build ( rather than buy ) a single transistor electret mic stage
Colin Mitchell many years ago designed a range of small FM Transmitters that
featured a self biasing transistor perfect for electret mics. a wee bit of emitter degeneration
using a small resistor like 100 ohms off the emitter to ground might assist, but published as is the
circuit is great for electret mics and works well see the 4th diagram at Electret mic :

Hope this helps / Chris
