This is a good example why this country is not a great place to do business in for a small scale specialty manufacturer unless you have a law firm on retainer. I could care less about Tekton speakers with the only exception being one or two of their tweeter arrays being interesting concepts. Some of their data isn't fully transparent, specifically their sensitivity ratings.
Anyone who buys speakers solely based on internet reviews likely doesn't have a solid opinion of their own and needs other people to tell them what is good, mostly for bragging rights and feeling good about their purchase. As long as they feel warm and fuzzy inside after the reviewer blows smoke up their you-know-what, that's all that matters. It sounds like Tekton uses this strategy to sell their products.
Polished up measurements are a common thing and its crazy how many people are obsessed with them along with other published data.
As I said many times before, having been flamed for stating that measurements don't reveal the full story how a speaker sounds. They just don't matter as much as most people insist. A cabinet resonance isn't always as audible as measurements suggest. The listening environment and placement are far more critical in determining the sound characteristics of a speaker. Harping on polished and spit shined measurements is not the final word.

Remember Romy the Cat? That guy listened exclusively to classical music and he liked it loud. There are maybe 2% of audiophile with this kind of selective taste in music and 0.0001% of them are frequent on DiyAudio . Yet, whatever Romy said about given solution or component it immediately reflected the selling price of that c. r.p on the market and the opinion was " Romy likes it so it must be good" Good for a classical serenade does not necessarily translates into good for Hip-Hop, but that's how it was understood.

The intriguing question is: what on earth would be unlawful in publishing detailed measurements and criticizing a design on the basis of those measurements? Classic example of a SLAPP threat. In the US everything seems possible court wise, here in NL (+continental Western Europe) the claimant would not stand much a chance, unless the review would be non-fact based. It is referred to as the "chilling effect" of sueing.

As for court, the reviewer should consider Challenging Jurisdiction by Special Appearance, and let the guy feed the lawyers LOL, these people use court as a threat, but it can backfire if they try it against anyone who knows how the system of Justitia actually works 😀

From the drama logs Tekton is essentially claiming incompetence resulting in loss of sales. The initial measurements were performed without speaker feet installed. The designer used threaded inserts open at both ends, resulting four cabinet leaks without them. Unique in my experience and for measuring reviews similar to rearranging a blind person's furniture.

At one point plate and grid chokes were all the rage in tube amps. Until ONE well known tweeker in Diy circles posted he doesn't like them anymore because they form a resonance circuit and the resulting sound is reflection of that fact. After that pretty much everybody heard those resonances and plate/grid chokes ended up in the landfill.

That is indeed BS in my book: it will hardly affect Klippel measurements. Cabinet leaks will bring nothing to the table.

Given his attitude, and all the negative publicity over the last couple of weeks, he should expect his sales to continue their decline. He's obviously not smart enough to keep his mouth shut.
And very little difference with the feet installed. Unlikely anyone would hear the difference.
