Hi,newbie here, I'm looking at making some interconnect leads. Is there any reason why interconnects between source - pre - power amps can't be very short i.e. 10-15 cms if equipment is near enough? Ready made interconnects seem to be 50 cms or more.
I agree the shorter the better.
But, components need to be far enough to dissipate heat,
(i.e. you need good air circulation between components),
this requires more than 10 to 15cm in most cases.
