You have not explained how the "uninterruptible power supply" fits in your system.
Why not start with one amp, two simple speakers and a reliable source. Unplug all other equipment. Do not use any DIY cables/grounding/speakers/filters.

Mark,
I have a 55-inch display in front of our fireplace, and the passive crossovers and a big old UPS are sitting behind it in the fireplace. I have two big air-core coils that have no place to go except on top of the UPS, which has a big transformer inside. But it turns out I can't hear any hum from them.
But your larger question: One amp, two simple, full range, high quality speakers, and a pure, 24-bit source? Pursue audio beauty to the fullest flowering starting with the pure midrange essence? Instead of the 29-driver mess I have now?? NAH!

You have not understood my advise. If a basic system has no problems, you can then start adding components, maybe adding the second amp and speakers. Build the system you like, I am not steering you towards a minimalistic audio design, just a different approach to the problem.
