Input switch / Mute delay using 555

U1 is driving U3 so I can determine delay but also this way I can trigger U3 using a push button OFF (ON) instead of a normal switch.

I would like to use one device to trigger both U1 and U2 at the same time.

Could you use one device to trigger both u1 and u2 with the same output signal?
two 556 gives you the extra device.

The issue is that I need U2 to be triggered when the output of U1 goes high and also when it goes low.

Do not see how using 556 could help.....

Well, Lacking ideas I decided to use a relay to trigger both 555 at the push of a button.

All is well when it finishes well.
