Input module for TDA1540

Does anyony have any experience with this input module?
Good idea/bad idea? an alternative?any suggestions about it?

I have a CD player with TDA1540 Dac chips and would like to "convert" it to a Dac only.

Unfortunately I don't have the means to program the device, I was looking for an "off the shelf solution".
