I have power amp Rotel RB-981.
I saw circuit schematic used Blackgate 4.7uF 50V. (as attached picture)
I plan to upgrade to Obbigato Copper Capacitor 1.5uF 600V.
Can I use 1.5uF to replace 4.7uF?
High pass frequency cut off will slightly change from 1.026Hz to 3.215Hz (as attach pictures 2 and 3.
Can I do that?

You can use even 1.0 uF with little difference. It is the order of magnitude difference that becomes critical. Given the tolerance of parts values, the precise value is not very important. Don't sweat this, fit it (if you can) and forget it.
If you are unhappy with the performance some reason, you can always buy a larger value in a more suitable, smaller type/brand. After all all, a big, expensive 600V cap intended for tube amps won't be ideal in a solid state circuit

Oh Thank you very much Ian. Then I change my mind not upgrade it. So blackgate 4.7uF 50V will still continue be at its place. 🙂
Good Idea. Note though, Rubycon blackgates capacitors proved unreliable in many applications and I believe that is why they were discontinued. If you are just experimenting, it may be even better to use a PP film capacitor (MKP) at the input and though these are large and expensive, they are the best audio quality available from a low distortion point of view. Make sure they are well clear of power leads and other interfering currents, as the larger the cap, the more susceptible to radiated EMI.....blackgate 4.7uF 50V will still continue be at its place. 🙂
I would replace the too big electrolytic with a lower value Plastic film.
2u2F MKT would probably be so close to perfect at passing Audio signals that you will never hear any difference with an exotic capacitor, unless you choose an exotic that is too small because it's so damn expensive and probably too big to fit.

Who says exotic means better? I would argue that it is most likely worse, since all exotic caps are made by inexperienced and unreputable manufacturers without the necessary research and knowledge, very much present in bigger manufacturers that make considerably cheaper parts, which is used in actual serious applications where real performance actually matters.
An Epcos film cap will cost you a maximum of 2€, and this very same part will also be used in medical and military applications, where top performance and reliability until the end of days is mandatory. In audio, they can put whatever junk they please, just give it a fancy name and a very high price tag and the reviewers will lap it up.

I've had 4.7uF, 50V non-polarized 'N' (red color jacket) BlackGates as the input coupling capacitors to my power amp for more than 5 years with no reliabilty problems. Their sound quality is outstanding, easily besting a pair of film ClarityCaps I had once tried in their position.
