I am going to pickup a projector and infocus TVT3000 tommorow. only problem is the dude lost the power cable. Does anyone know the polaritys/voltages/current of this cable? I have read in the forum their is three pins for the power. I have read about the vga cable, but not found any help on the power cable. Please Help. Thanks,.
Hi there Adzza, welcome to the TVT3000 owners club!
Not sure if i'll be any use on this as my tvt3000 has a barrel plug, not 3 pin.
MSX-2 has the same plug, and showed it's polarity and voltage in this diagram:

I think it's 3 amps, but will check tonight. - -

adzza,
I've got the three-plug....errr plug that you mention and I just measured the polarity a couple of nights ago. But, my brain is not able to recall the exact configuration - I'm at the office right now.
From what I can recall, the single female plug (that attaches to the panel) at the bottom is ground, and only one of the top two plugs is positive. The other isn't used. (can't remember which is which)
I'll re-check on this tonight.
Actually, this reminds me. I measured an output of +17.5 volts. The panel still works, but I may be cooking the voltage regulator. Maybe it's going bad? Anyone else measure their +12 volt supplies?
Ciao.

adzza,
I checked the power cable plug tonight. Here it is (looking at the female plug end)
not connected------->O O<-------+ 12v
ground --------------->O
And I am getting +17.5 vdc at the plugs - even tho' the power supply says 12 vdc. *weird*

transformers usually output higher voltage than rated, so the voltage stays at 12 when under high load.
Thanks for all the great help guys. Much appreciated. still waiting to see if the guy thats selling it has the power cable.
Should I buy it if it doesnt?
If it is indeed 12V, what current does the 12V line provide?
Does this panel do VGA 800X600, or 1024X768?
Is it a good panel?
How long can i expect it to last?
Thanks all.

Its 640x480 but once your comp boots in this setting you can change setting higher in windows but it will be compressed.
