InFocus LP350 Possible Bulb

Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forum, but I've been doing some serious researching, and wanted to share what I've found, as well as get your input...

I just bought an InFocus LP350 projector with a broken bulb on eBay for $99, shipping included. I did a little trivial research, and found out that the factory bulb is a 270W Metal Halide lamp. I then started my quest to find a bulb that would be as compatible as possible with the current electronics, and here's what I found. I'm awaiting confirmation on the MOL, but I think it's around 5.5". I'll need to fabricate a reflector for it, but that's not an issue for me. It's 250W, so it'll have a load difference of about 4.3 Ohms (calculated @ 120V, is that correct?)... Anyone think that might pose an issue to the power supply? I haven't metered anything yet, but I'm assuming the power feed (after striking) is 120V.

I've read that ywh has lamps for this series of projectors (LP340/350), but I'm just trying to broaden the horizon of possibilities...
Thanks so much for your time! 🙂
-Paul
