I just bought one off ebay and it say InFocus 7600WS 1024x768 24K TSTN Passive Matrix. Okay but what is 24k it is the colors but is that good or bad

I hope you dont plan on watching movies or playing games on that, from what i understand passive matrix will not allow you to do that. You need Active Matrix. Have no idea what the 24k means though.
Yes , thats 24,000 colors its o.k. for that high resolution, someone mentioned even lower colors was ok like 4,000.
Yes i was planing on using it as a projector for movies and games, tell me why this will not work i dont understand
Passive matrix wont work as it has a slow responce time, that is it take a long time to refresh the image, and presumably will cause severe ghosting, were as Active matrix runs using transistors and capacitors which allows for a quicker responce time, and in good panels no ghosting.
HOWEVER, i have never seen a passive matrix LCD be used to project a movie so what i'm saying is entirelly theory based, therfore through the magic of zen it may work, but i wouldn't count on it.
