Hi Negative Design,
I found this item just when it has only 15 mins off from ending... so I kind of no time to do research. Actually I just need a work unit and don't really worry about the config. since I am going to build just the very first projector in my life... I want some information about how bright it is and what kind of bulb it use and how long would it last...? If someone can help or I can find out.
I did some search on the web and I can only find out it use EYB bulb?! I don't know much about this kind of bulb. According to some of the bulb source sites, it has 10000 lumen (I really can't believe it) output and it is kind of halogen type of lamp... that's it.
Anyway, thanks for your reply.

Well, if the bulb is 10,000 lumens, im willing to bet the ohp is around 2500 lumen for the screen brightness.
Hi verbose mustafa,
Don't you think it is kind of impossible to have 10000 lumen for a 360W hologen (EYB)?
😱

Here are some links that I found for the bulb:

If it does produce that kind of brightness, it is kind of lucky for me to get this OHP!! and those bulb only cost around 10/each.

your oph brightness is not 10,000 lumens. The 10,000 lumens the brightness of the bulb. After the lgiht goes though all the optics and what not, the actual brightness on the wall is much less. Probably around 2500 as i said above. My AI-100 bulbs where 17,000 lumens, and hte brightness of the ohp was about 4000 lumens.
The good news is that with that type of bulb, it will be possible to retrofit your ohp with hqi or hmi metal halide bulbs, and it will probably be about as cool as your current halogen.
