Infinity Reference 1600a Power Cycle, it doesn't protect.

The problem it started the past week, I don't know exactly what's the cause of it, but I turned my car, and noticed that there wasn't any bass. I have the amp installed on the doors of the seats, that goes to the trunk. I pulled the seat down to check it, and when I pulled the seat it started working, like if it was a fals contact. Anyway I didn't checked anything, and it worked fine until today, I was hearing music in my garage, and suddenly the amp turned off. I must say that the amp NEVER protected before, and it wasn't even hot when it turned off. The music wasn't even loud, and it just turned off.

Then I thought that it might be a bad ground problem, or maybe a problem with the remote cable, and I checked both with the multimeter, and there wasn't anything wrong with it. I checked the fuses, and they seem to be ok.

The strange thing of this, is that the amp doesn't seems protected. The red light of protected turns for 1 second or less and turn off, and then turns off another half second and keeps like that. I had another problem with an Infinity 475a before, but that one when it protects, the red light keeps on. Just to let you know, in these amps when you turn on the car, first it goes to protect mode 1 or 2 seconds, and then it starts working perfectly. So every time that it cycle, its like if it tries to turn on but something fails or it lacks of enough Voltage and turns off, even the red light of protect mode is very very dim. And when I turn up the volume to high volumes, it start glowing faster. Its really strange.

I have another 4 channel ifninity amp connected in the car and that its working perfectly. So the next thing I checked is the fusil that is near the battery. I noticed that only one fusil was being used for both amps, I tried to check continuity with the multimeter to check if it was working, but one of the side caps, its kind of melted cause the heat of the motor or the cable. But I was just thinking, that if the fuse didn't work, even the other infinity amp wouldn't work right?

The guy that I usually entrust these thing to check and fix, its in vacation, and he's going to return in a couple of weeks, and can't wait that much. So I started checking myself, just to let you know, I event tried to turn it on, without any RCA or speaker wires and its the same.

The strange thing, is that when I disconnect the ground from the amp, it keeps doing the same strange thing. It only cycles without going in protect mode. And when I give it a little punch in the top part, it lights the blue light very fast and turns off again.
Do you think that it could something with the fuse that is near the battery? Or maybe dry solder?

Thanks in advance

If it shuts down and the B+ and remote voltage remain at or above 12v (black probe on ground screw terminal for all measurements) and there is no problem with the speakers or signal source, it would appear that there is a fault in the amp. To troubleshoot it, you'd have to be able to duplicate the fault while checking various points in the amp.
