Infinity overture 3 speaker amplifier or crossover issue

My beloved overture 3's are now making some strange high
pitched noises when I first start using them. When they
have been playing for a little while, the noises disappear
and they sound beautiful again. When I pulled the amp out
of them, I can see the black soot is on one side of the
circuir board and appears to flow in a direction on it.
Though there is no visibily damaged components. I am very
good with soldering and desoldering, but absolutely suck
at figuring out what component(s) to change out. I would
greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you,

Looks like the MOV where your AC comes in. Saw this on old CRT's all the time.
for "economy" some OEM's will soft start with just a NTC MOV (metal oxide varistor) - no relay to finish.
AC current always runs direct though the mov.
I does have a relay - possible relay failure with all the current just going through the mov ??.

You're right as usual. I didn't see any mess over there so I didn't even look.

I should probably replace those, or is there a way to test those? Also, went to the store and bought some puretronics freeze spray to help me diagnose, well, it manage to cause a massive spark and now the amp in the one I was testing will not provide power output to the subs. Any further ideas on this?
