With a center-tapped winding, it will be better to use the full winding with 2 diodes (less heating, less voltage drop) vs. using half of it with a bridge. If it had two separate secondaries, using them in parallel with a bridge would be better yet.

What I would do is 33uF as input capacitor, then 1H, 100uF, then 1H, 100uF.

A 1H is 5 times as small inductance as 5H.
How can that be answered without knowing the applicantion of use?
Do you think a 5 x smaller value has no effect on the equipment? Then why not go to 0.5H, or 0.1H, or zero H and throw out the inductor??

If you replace the 5H one with a 1H one, you'll completely upset the response of the filter the inductor is used in.
