Is there a company that makes drywall-mounting subwoofer grills, or larger in-wall speaker grills? I am installing a subwoofer behind a wall, firing into a living room through an opening in the drywall. Anyone seen something like that?
Probably square, but I'll take what I can get. Ideally, I'd like it to fit a 12" woofer, but if the best I can do is a 10" or a pair of 8", that will have to do. Sorry, I should have given that info originally.
Stocker makes a good point. I know I saw in wall grills somewhere but I can't find it now. Diy would probably be the cheapest way to go.
If fabric doesn't take your fancy, you could always use the perforated MDF sold as central heating radiator covers.

Those are good ideas, if appearance wasn't as important as it is to this person. I pretty much need to get a large in-wall speaker grill, the metal-mesh, paintable kind, with the frame, but no speaker. I may just have to buy one and remove the speaker somehow.
if you need to go custom http://www.penn-elcom.com/ do perforated metal sheeting
any shape, bent or flat, bordered or not, you can even have a logo cut into it!
