Impasse with the F-5?

I've been whinning a little lately about needing a little more gain in my F-5 system. I saw the Impasse and in reading saw that some use it with the F-4 (virtually no gain) with success. This had me wondering how this pre would mate with the F-5. Perhaps this would give me the added gain?

It will give you 26dB (20x) voltage gain. The way it's configured, you need to have the load balanced, but if you want to run it into a single-ended input, you can ground the output that comes from the plate of the ECC88, then take the output from the cathode side.
