Fantastic looking speakers! Makes me consider similar construction for (one of) my future project(s). Just one question, though:
How did you make the thin horizontal lines / grooves on the sides? Looks like you also have black paint in the groove. I wonder how to do it without making a mess...

pekka: I made a cut in the veneer and the cut is filled by black filler.
knassiri: I estimated the volume in the beginning of the project, and when the box was complete I measure the volume more exactly through filling the box with sand then calculate the volume.
faustian bargin: yes it is layers of mdf. I made a "template" before I build the back piece. It is simple to achieve the radius that way.
