How are you liking those Seas H535 tweeters? I have the H537 in my Definitive/Seas Project MTM speaker. The H537s have a damped rear chamber. I am pleased with my own results.

How is the bass with the P13?
I am having a discussion with Bricolo & recommending a pr of P13s on the bottom, but he is not sure he will get enuff bottom.

The cabinets are build up by a wooden framework(MDF). Over the framework I glue 6 pieces of 4mm plywood sheets per side. The front and back are made of MDF. Then coated with thick glossy black paint. Actually it is a very simple construction.
Veneered with walnut.
The tweeter, Seas H535 sounds very good! Detailed and fast, not harsh at all.
Tuning around 60Hz. I think the bass reach down to 50Hz in room. But the output there are not so high. This little speaker need some subwoofers.

The cabinets are build up by a wooden framework(MDF). Over the framework I glue 6 pieces of 4mm plywood sheets per side. The front and back are made of MDF. Then coated with thick glossy black paint. Actually it is a very simple construction.

How tightly can you bend the plywood?
That's interesting. You've probably noticed that I have used a different technique to get my contours. However, using MDF segments in this way brings its own difficulties (although there are also significant advantages).
My radii are very tight - the outside dimensions of my oval column are 20cm x 14cm (about 8" x 5.5"). As I'm a speaker designer and not a woodworker, I wonder if you can help me. Do you think that I could use your approach of bending 4mm plywood on a such a slim enclosure or perhaps use a hybrid construction so that I could retain my "inner egg" (I treat the midrange as King)?

7V: You could use 2mm plywood instead of 4mm. It is much more easy to bend 2mm sheets.

how did you fabricate the back piece?
is it layers of mdf?
if so, which direction are they stacked? and lastly,
how did you achieve a nice even radius on the back pieces?
it seems that method, if simple enough, could be used for radiusing front baffle edges.

I find you used almost the same technique I used. only I used alternate layers of ply and mdf (3mm MDF and 4mm ply as ply is easier to bend). Dave I think has 2-3 pics. I cant find mine. I have managed to finsih the baffle but that only hides the internal construction details so I have sent those to dave yet.

I am a newbie and am currently building my first speaker system, the North Creek Okara's(same woofer as yours) and a North Creek Poseidon subwoofer. I really like what you've done with the cabinets and I'd like to attempt something similar with my next project. I'm curious how one figures out the volume of the cabinet when the cabinet is an irregular shape such as yours. Any tips would be appreciated.
If you draw it with a CAD program, they usually have an area measure function. (I realize not everyone has CAD)

there is bending plywood where the plys all line up
it might bend tight enough
laminating/gluing might bring it's strength up
