Image distortion after reassembly

It all started with an annoying blob on my screen, due to a spot on the second outmost lens of my Panasonic AE900.

My mistake was to try and clean it with air spray (designed for this task, or so I imagined, reading the label...), and instead of making the lens crystal clear, that lens and a few others became stained and foggy, leaving me no choice but to take the entire optic assembly apart and clean the lenses one by one.

The problem I'm currently facing is that the image is heavily distorted, exhibiting ghost (smears) of varying magnitute across the screen, and I don't have a clue w.r.t. its origin (see attached images).
One option is that the optic arrangement is somehow unaligned. Another option might be that the RGB channels are out of sync.

Could someone shed a light on this issue?

TIA
Avishay
