Dumb question, how do I add somebody to the ignore list? I don't see any editable field in the "Ignoring" page.

Got it, but then I don't see any of the threads initiated by the offender. I was expecting to see all the rest of the posts in such a thread.
I would conclude that's just how XF works in this case.Got it, but then I don't see any of the threads initiated by the offender. I was expecting to see all the rest of the posts in such a thread.
when ignored member is quoting someone, I see entire quote and actual posted text of ignored member
no biggie, my Ignore list is short and I can deal with dumbs anyway, but better to inform you about bug

I think the way it works right now is that you will not see threads initiated by a member on your ignore list. That would seem consistent with the idea that I don't want to see posts by someone that I am ignoring. But I do see when they respond to a thread initiated by someone else. In that latter case, I do not see the text of the ignored person, just a remark that I have them on my ignore list.Got it, but then I don't see any of the threads initiated by the offender. Exactly so. My point is: I’m ignoring all contributions by member X, not by any other members, in the thread initiated by member X. Or otherwise said, I am ignoring a member posting, not entire threads.
The old forum had a tag "You are ignoring this twit; wanna see it?"
That's useful, even if it were only an inconspicuous gag-icon.
The present code seems to be: if an ignored person quotes hisself, everything shows.

One related question. I got few people in the ignore list. When they are posting either in the thread I started, or any other, but replying to my post, are they notified? Do they know I am not going to read their post? (I do not intend to)
