If you had $150- $200 per driver for Midrange/midbass drivers what would you buy?
I want to build a 2 way floorstanding speaker. I do not want to use a driver bigger than 7 inch.
after I figure out driver than I will work on tweeter. As far as tweeter it will definetly be silk dome.
any and all suggestions would be great.

If deep bass isn't a priority (maybe you'll set up a sub later), the 15W/8530K-00 from Scan-Speak is superb. It will be easy to control dispersion at crossover if you match it with a tweeter suitable for a 3K or so crossover point.

Jordan JX92S should do the trick . This is an aluminium-coned full-range/wideband driver , partner it with a ribbon or electrostaric tweeter and they're unsurpassed (to me!) for their $110 pricetag. Hope this helps

I have a Rel sub. So I am ok for deep bass.

Re: Jordan
That's what i was going to suggest when i saw the thread title.... and if you need something a little more efficient the Fostex FE168ES is worth a look.
