There are lots of brands and types, For reliability and proper fit, only use mating connectors
of the same brand that are designed for each other.

As @rayma says, beware of the different sizes. Common sizes are 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 inches in width and 0.51, 0.81 mm thickness. I forget what 0.51 and 0.81 translate to in Murica metres, but it's some inch fraction.
