Following order placement from CSS I received an e-mail with a .pdf attachment that contained the instructions for building the ELF 1.0 and 1.5. I've just tested my mini-array with 4 W3-871s per speaker. Don't have any measurements yet but there is a definite "ceiling" to the sound field typical of the array cylinder effect. Off axis isn't nearly as much an issue as the loss of imaging when you stand up. Still, I like them better than my MTM mains. The enclosures are ~12.3 liter rear ported with a BDSC circuit.
Where can I read about or learn the specifics of the BDSC curcuit? This is my first foray into the design aspect. I may order some more of these drivers and try out several ideas including the ones we come up with here. The line array or mini array would be great with these drivers given the price.
I have downloaded every freeware program I could find, and I am now to the point of purchasing some software and a decent mic setup for measurements in my "Guy" room in the basement.

Quite a coincidence, last night I was reading up on full range designs. I'm beginning to get quite interested in those little TB 871 gems, does anyone know where to get them in europe, more specific Belgium?
I was thinking of putting 3 or 4 together, something like 7V's speakers but on a budget 🙂. Sub will be taking care of the bass.
I really like the idea of not having any crossover but just one simple drivers that covers most of it.
