[IDEA] Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 hack

I bought this audio interface after reading this article:

The use is for both recording and listening.

Now i wanna make some hacks to improve the quality, for example by get ridding of bus-power...

I found another interesting article how to DIYing it:

But the problem is: since the interface can provide Phantom (48v) power on mic ins, how should i choose the external PSU ?

Or, in other words, how can i measure the USB absorption ?

Last but not least, do you have other hack suggestions ?

OK, another mod could be to replace jack outs with XLR-combos.
