I can find examples of it in PA speakers, but nothing with any hi fi pretensions. The GLL speakers were aimed at the home audio market. If any of the Tannoys are in this area I would be very interested.
Yes, I might well do that thanks. It seems a neat idea, but has never been pursued so there must have been some inherent flaw in the concept.
Hi. I had a set of these Tannoys and only sold them recently. Not sure if same technology but certainly had a nice midrange and top end. Bass was a bit asthmatic as mentioned by the op on linked thread. The dual concentric drivers are good and lasted well (more than 20 years) but the box quality could have been better. Mine were ok. tannoy 611 mk2
I had a tannoy arena maybe 6.5" in a box.
Sounded good for a 6.5" point source.
I think it was time/phase aligned also, but I bet the tweet max's a bit b4 the woof.
