I have too much gain for my midrange and tweeter outputs in a 4-way active system. Amplifer is a 4 channel Ice 125 ASX2.
Is it possible to adjust this? Possibly add an ohm resistor to the drivers?

If it is an active setup you should be able to reduce the volume on the input side - what does the rest of the setup look like?
You can always add resistors/Lpads on the output, but the whole idea of an active configuration is normally that this isn't necessary 🙂

Pre is an RME sound card. I adjusted from +4dBu to -10dBV on gain and it helps. Bass and sub have xtz and crown amps respectively. The Xtz has a gain control wheel, as does the crown.
My question is rather what is the most correct thing to do here? Midrange is Altec 299-8 on horns and they have a high sensitivity of 112db. There is still a bit of noise and maybe Ohm resistance is right to add.
If you can adjust the volume at the amp, this is the place to do it. Your signal comes at a high level, enters the amp and get's reduced at the attenuator before it reaches the amplification stages. This way you reduce any unwanted noise from the chain.
