I look for the IC m74hc6004
It is use for Digital Out on my sony cdp 750

[ Digital Out & Component was not available before ]

pls help, where i can find this ic or the replacement ?

they give me result lm 324

is this ic was quad op-amp ???

Recheck the number. 74HC series are logic devices. Sure it's not a 74HC04. LM324 is a quad opamp.

If it's an 8 pin IC then no. Would have to see data sheet to be sure what it is. Can't be a Hex (6) invertor in that package. Sounds like a "special" to me.

Are you saying it's a 8 pin DIP? I saw something that would suggest that a 74HC6004 is the same as a 74HC604, but that is a 28 pin dip.

How about posting a photo?

Could be an optocoupler. I've got some fast one's which are 74OL6000. They have logic levels in and out.

Maybe a 6004 is one that also inverts. And HC is the logic it uses.
But mine have six pins, not eight

Yesterday when i ask Jean Paul in PM
he said maybe this was invert ic
so i tried to check in farnell " Invert IC with 8 pin "
so the result was (based on 74-04)

If this ic can replace m74hc6004 with ic adapter
is that ok with 3x invert

Looks like the IC you linked to will work. The new part has a different pinout, so you're going to have to adapt it a bit. Also, make sure you ground the input of the unused inverter gate.

Now we know what it is how about getting it from Sony ? Then you could get the other bits and pieces too within the dotted box in the manual.

I went to SONY service in Indonesia several times

They didnt know what kind of 74hc6004
They didnt response to when i asked about KSS 150A

How great the service was 😀

cause these was old cd with US$ 20
change the optic and all knob US$ 40
it is ok for me 😎

It is a 2 port inverter. So it is half a 74XX04. Pretty rare IC.

I think I still have one in one of my part drawers but you will have to wait a week as I won't be home.
