Hello to all in this forum.
This is my first thread/question ...
I enjoy reading the threads in this forum and I am trying hard
to built some suggested designs ...
Since I have built some NON-OS-DACs, I am very happy with the
sound of these small cheapies ...
My next step: to get rid of the receiverchip.
So I wanted to ask if somebody has a clue, where I can get
I2S-Dig-Out from a Sony XA-50-ES ...
By the way: did someone change the clock in the transport of this CD-Player already? I do not mean the Clock for the DAC ... - it is
the servo I am interested in ...
Thanks ...

My friend tried such mod.
You can get the I2S from the flat cable connector running from transport PCB to main PCB but it's not the correct data format for TDA1541 and TDA1543 for example.
TDA1543A on the other hand should work. So your options are just a little limited, but it is possible.

No Problem to use any I2S DAC if you build my EIAJ to I2S converter. It is in my post about sharing my digital work.

Hello CM,
thank you very much for your help ...
Do you know that the XA-50-ES does use these chips ?

I am sorry. I do not know the machine. Try looking for the servo controller chip. Then look for the data sheet and pin the DAC interface signals or LRCLK, BCK and Data. The servo controller chip is likely to be a CXD 25xx or CXD11x5. Then trace the signal to a hardy enough point where you can solder wires.
