Hello,
Is someone knowing a good link to ack the I2S of the Xilink FGPA in the SqueezeBOX Duet (I have two so can risk one !). Have no sucess to find something in the AUDIOSLIMDEVICES bar ?!
I know which are the pins but not how to improve the crystals with swaping its (which ref are advised? TCX brand ?) , nore the LDOs regs to be changed.
Which sort of very thin 50 ohms coax cable is advised as no ufl cable is possible here ?
Any maintenance shematic of the SB ?
Sorry many questions here ! Thanks in advance.
Regards
Eldam

Hi,
... or maybe an another stremear not expensive with USB output ? (DNLA or Squeeze Box server shareware compatible !) ?
Anybody here with a streamer and an I2S output or USB output which is not a microcomputer ?
Some DNLA wifi/rj45 streamer with usb output on the side of TI or else ?
Thank you for your help... I feel my SB Duet is a limitation maybe... because spidf output only !

Well,
This is what I tried : Uf.l connector are just soldered on the 22 pf resistor for each I2S line. Not perfect as this the soldering which makes the contact !
Lateral Gnd pad of the Uf.l connectors are soldered together and connected to the shortest Gnd Vias ! No shortcuts : checked with the buzzer !
Uf.l connectors are fixed with cyanolit glue...
2 cents, but I tried short coax cabe and they never stay !
Do I have to cut the traces which are going to the wolfson dac or can I stay the traces like that if the dac is non-non-loaded (used) ?????
notice the fourth link going to the dac chip... don't know what it is ! Have to re read John Swenson 🙂
Will try it on the AYA 2 2014 and the Distinction-1541 DAC as the Ian's I2StoPCM board as well and can have a POC of the Xilink FGPA with I2S with 4" uf.l cables output vs the spidf output 75 ohms 8" cable (with true 75 ohms plug)!
The Xilink is not a FGPA of Silabs, so has certainly more jitter at its outputs... but worth a try, no ?
According to you fellows, does it Worth to swap the XO with better ones : TCX, FOX, etc ?
