I want to build a FW-190 or a FW-109 large scale plane with at least 6 foot or even a 8 foot wing span and a lot of detail, I would like the landing gear to retract and all the lights working, a three or four blade propeller and hub.
I want to hang it in my music room but have no interest in flying the model,I would like all the other parts to come in a kit, that way everything is there that I need, this will save me a lot of trouble looking for the right parts, hassle free.
I have build a small plane from plans many years ago, now I am nearing retirement and would love to take on a fun project like this, cutting all the spars and frame work, I don't want a foam injected model.
.I need lots of advise from as many forum members possible to point me in the right direction as I don't have a clue of were to start looking, your advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Bob

An 8 foot span...... why so big ?
That would be about is quarter scale for those aircraft.
I think you mean a Me-109 not a FW..
Anyway I use to build and fly RC aircraft.
Try doing a search for giant scale or quarter scale plans (or even kits) for those aircraft.
You can detail any quality kit as much are you want and a kit will save you a lot of work and hassles.
It wont be cheap or easy.
However, I would suggest that you set your sight on something a bit smaller .
If I may make make a suggestion ..... why not build both aircraft in a much smaller scale? They are both iconic German WWII aircraft.
As far as hardware, as long as you stick to a standard scale there is hardware available but, not as a kit for an entire aircraft. You will have to search the net for whatever you need in any given scale.
BTW, these days, since my retirement , in addition to audio, building plastic vintage aircraft models is my other passion....... mostly WWI and prior .🙂

Foam injected FW-190 with 44" wingspan. Not detailed enough for you?

I have been looking at a few models during the weekend, the foam injected models look really good ,the detail and price with all the servos included makes the model a good choice. The FW-190 color and markings look great, what is the name of this plane?

There's a bunch of German WW-I and II aircraft on exhibit at the Deutsches Museum in Munich (one of my favorite cities.) Deutsches Museum: Collections
It's a WWII German Focke-Wulf FW-190, nicknamed the "Butcher Bird", because it was so lethal in its glory days.

Germans are very skilled model builders
for flying airplane models I believe they have a weight limit of 25kilo to be legal without further notice

Consider building something smaller again to start with. You could familiarize yourself with new(er) materials and scale building techniques before you are all in.
Scale building and detailing is quite an art...a little practice wouldn't hurt.
These Stevens Aero planes have excellent engineering/laser cutting and a joy to build. He has a few scale models, I've built many of his kits and the RV-4 was a favorite.

I did see this ME-109 which is impressive
