Moving in the very near future and will have to put my Tannoy Berkerleys (15inch Dual concentric) into the corners to get them in the room.
They are currently in the standard cabs but these boom when placed into the corner.
I may be able to enlarge the cabs slightly so thier sensitivity should rise. Am I right in thinking that a ported corner design will BOOM?
I was thinking that I may be able to enlarge the cabs and make them sealed (infinite bafle?) without loosing too much.
Some Tannoys used the corner for bass re enforcement.

if the dual porting is true, then be prepared to stuff one or both.
Can't see the point of enlarging the cabinets.

A ported cabinet will not boom in a corner if it's designed to go into a corner. There's nothing magic about ports. And where the ports are on the cabinet is not terribly relevant, given the long wavelengths. Increasing the box size will not increase the sensitivity.
Damping the ports might help a bit, but first I'd try to attack it more directly by lowering the box tuning. That will overdamp the bass, which will then get reinforced by the corner placement.
(edit: If memory serves, these were made before the popularization of T-S theory. It might be worthwhile to chuck the old cabinet design, measure the T-S parameters, and design a new box from scratch)

If you have good woodworking skills, I'd seriously consider building replicas of Tannoy corner cabs - ideally GRFs. Avoid the really simple ones though, I think they were just devised to meed demand for corner enclosures without much thought for the sound.
I know the characteristics of the later drivers are a bit different from Golds, but the plans will only need minor modifications if any.
