Hi 👋everyone
My uncle always talked about how he is going to build a lp12 subchassis one day, but it's been years already. So I would like to spend time and build it for him as a surprise.
After searching online I can't find any schematic for the actual subchassis itself.
Can someone help provide me a schematic for it so that I can mill it?
I am studying for bachelor of engineering, so I have access to tools but I don't have much knowledge. Please tell me anything I needed to know
Sincerely

I have an inner platter, subchassis and bearing.
I have lots of work to do, don’t know if/when i could do a drawing.

Here's a drawing I did years ago. It doesn't show the glued on brace. After searching online I can't find any schematic for the actual subchassis itself.
I started working on a diy Sole sub-chassis, but didn't get any further than the drawings.

Thank for your reply Dave!
I have a silly question, on the older subchassis of lp12, they have two separate pieces of the chassis and the arm board. But in the newer version, they have them all made together.
Would it be beneficial for me to try and mill them together, or just create the purely subchassis?
Sincerely

There are likely a lot of spare subchassis and bits i have as Linn makes a killing sellin upgrades, rge folded steel would be a cruder and much cheaper than that one. The screws oin the arm board needed to be tight. The one piece would be better functional, lot harder to put not-Linn arms on it, or changing arms.
Given Linns invetment in CNC milling for Al i expect hat is CNCed billet and FEMed to death for minimizing and them moving the resonances where they wanted them.

Exactly. Having a separate arm-board means you can use the arm of your choice, within reason. Plus the sub-chassis becomes a little easier to mill, if it's going to be a Keel like clone. The one piece would be better functional, lot harder to put not-Linn arms on it, or changing arms.
I have an arm-board drawing, but it's missing the attachment screw hole locations. I'll see if I can fix that.

I updated my old Arm-board drawing, because the location holes to attach it to the sub-chassis were missing, shown on sheet 2. Sheet 3 shows an alternate location for a Rega tonearm. Stock thickness is approx. 9.5mm, not shown on the drawing.on the older subchassis of lp12, they have two separate pieces of the chassis and the arm board.

If I were your uncle, I would want to be involved in the process from the beginning to make sure I got what I expected....
