I had a 845 tube amp, 10K transformer, can drive only special loudspeakers, VERY GOOD AMP!
But this is domain of 2nd harmonics, euphoria etc.
I made an awesome schematic for SET amp, but you have to deal with me in private and have a huge budget (part cost)

I believe that they’re rated at 10 wattsWhat output transformers, ...other spec numbers ?
EL95 is a nice tube for 10 kOhm output transformers.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on the forum so i would like to greet everyone.Bare with me for any stupid questions etc.
So, i wanted to build a tube amp and i found an old Philips AM radio and took the output and power transformers in order to use them with the tubes i also found in there. The output tube is an EL95, the rectifier is an EZ80 and the preamp an EBC81.I found some old schematics about el95 and ebc81,i combined them, made some modifications and everything was great. No buzz at all, very nice and clean sound with very clear high freqs but kinda poor low freqs(wich...

Lots of tubes can run 10K.
Anything with RP up to 2500 ohms will love 10K. More than 2x ratio just means a more linear range in the load line.
The dc current rating will determine what tubes you can use.
My 4P1L will get 10K OPTs.

Primary impedance is merely an abstraction. 10K:16R transformer running with 8R load will reflect 5К impedance to the primary, just probably with higher primary inductance than typical 5K transformer.
What secondary taps are available? What DC current is permitted?

You are asking the equivalent of “how long is a piece of string?”.4 and 8 ohm secondary no idea of dc current
You would get a lot of helpful information if you provided more information about the transformers you have.
Either the technical specs or the manufacturer and model/part number would be very helpful.
